I’m a Vice President in Data & BI at BNY, based in Chennai. Over the last decade I’ve led teams across financial services and healthcare that turn complex enterprise data into governed analytics products leaders can trust.

My day-to-day is half architecture — Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, Alteryx pipelines over Impala and Vertica — and half product. The work I’m proudest of gives finance and operations leaders reusable datasets, clear metric definitions, and reporting workflows that stand up in regulated environments.

I write about Power BI, automation, AI-assisted analytics, and design at kiranvj.com/blog. Outside work I keep a soft spot for type-setting, IPL stats, and building the occasional Figma poster for fun.
